Polyurethane foam slab leveling, in plain English.
Polyurethane foam is hydrophobic, chemically inert, and engineered to outlast the slab itself. Most jobs carry a multi-year warranty and the foam itself does not break down with moisture or temperature swings.
Mudjacking pumps a heavy slurry of cement and soil under the slab, which adds weight and can wash out over time. Polyurethane foam weighs roughly 4 lbs per cubic foot, cures in minutes, and is waterproof — so the lifted slab stays put.
Pricing depends on slab size, lift height, and access. Most residential projects in DFW fall between a few hundred and a few thousand dollars — typically 50–75% less than tear-out and replacement. We offer free on-site estimates.
Most driveway, sidewalk, and patio jobs are completed in a single visit, often in a few hours. The slab is safe to walk on immediately and ready for vehicle traffic the same day.
Yes. We can lift cracked slabs back to grade and stabilize the soil beneath. If the cracks are wide or the slab is structurally compromised, we will tell you up front when leveling is the right call versus replacement.
No. The foam is injected through small holes and stays beneath the slab. There is no excavation and no slurry overspray, so beds, sod, and hardscape around the slab are left undisturbed.
